Sad news all around!

June 17th, 2010

I’ve been putting this post off for a bit because I’ve been in total denial but it’s time. I had to have knee surgery on Tuesday. And if that isn’t bad enough, once they were in there it was worse than they expected. So my recovery time went from 4 weeks to 8-10 weeks. So Dr’s orders…I have to cancel all my upcoming photo shoots until FALL!! Ugh, it makes me want to cry! But I’m so going to kick Physical Therapy’s butt and I’m determined that I’ll be able to take a few in late summer! Oh, it just bums me out so much because I had such neat things planned for this year! I’ll just have to plan for them next year! Anyways, so I’m not accepting sessions unless it’s a newborn shoot (no chasing those sweet things anywhere!) in the last summer. And because I HAVE to leave a picture on here, I’ll save the stitches picture and just show you guys how I’m going to be spending the rest of my summer.

I should come up with a name for it huh? And I just have to point out…those cute painted toenails? Oh yeah, Scott totally did them! What a cutie huh? :D

Welcome to Memories in Raw!

I’m so thrilled that you stopped by!  Just a quick run down of the site to help you as you have a look around: right above this post you’ll find buttons that will help you navigate through any information you need to know. This includes more details about me, my pricing, how to book a session or contact me, what to wear for a session and, hopefully, when you become a client you’ll need to see your online client gallery!

I love what I do so I really appreciate your interest. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to hear your feedback. And even more, I’d love to meet you!

I will not be accepting new clients, beyond the ones that are currently booked, until fall .

Thanks everyone for such an amazing year!!

Katie

Katie’s mom called me and asked if I could take Katie’s pictures with her harp before she got her new one. I was so excited from the minute when I heard that she was a harpist because that was something I wanted so badly at my wedding but we couldn’t find one. Boo!
This cute, CUTE, girl has been playing the harp for 4 years and she’s only 13! Give the girl some props! I was lucky enough to have Katie play for us while taking her pictures and it was wonderful! I think I’m going to start hiring her to come with me to all my sessions so I can shoot accompanied by that heavenly sound! :D
No, really I was so impressed by Katie’s talents and her sweet, easy to get along with, personality. And if anyone is like me and wants a harpist at their wedding…she’s available! If you’re looking for one give me a call or leave a comment and I’ll get you her phone number. You won’t be sorry, she plays absolutely beautifully! And let’s be honest…she looks beautiful too!
