Falling Leaves

October 30th, 2009

Not only is this one of my favorite locations but it was taken at my favorite time of year. I’m terribly in love with fall. I love the crispness in the air, the cute jackets, boots, activities, cuddling, heavy bone crushing blankets on your bed, pumpkins, wool socks, scary movies (even though I never make it through them since I’m such a baby), the colors…everything! I’m already mourning it’s departure! :(

Salt Lake Temple

September 1st, 2009

There is something about this building. Growing up I always thought it was a castle and I enjoyed going there with my family. Other than that I didn’t give it much thought. We were there over the summer and I met a man.
He came up to me and asked if he could pay me to take a picture of him in front of the temple. Of course I said no and I’d be happy to do it for free and we got talking. He was a recent convert to the LDS church. He’d given up everything he had so he could move to Utah. After hearing his story and struggles I was really reminded how grateful I should be that in any direction from my home I couldn’t go more than 100 miles without hitting a temple. Ever since I met him the Salt Lake temple doesn’t just register in my mind as just a beautiful building. It reminds me that I’m lucky to have something so dear to our members so very near to me.
