Anxious

January 10th, 2011

Who else is anxious for winter to be over? I’m anxious to see green grass instead of the gray mush that soaks the hem of my pants. I’m anxious for dry heat instead of wind so cold it gets into my bones. I’m anxious to open my year again and start getting some photo session underway!! :D

Speaking of anxious…the other day my dog got diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and OCD. I didn’t even know that was possible…odds are I’m going to royally screw up my biological children considering that my dog is now on an anti-depressant. sigh. I really couldn’t make that up! Haha

On a side note, I started a photo a day project. If you’re interested in viewing it the address is www.365memoriesof2011.com and if you want to start one as well send me a link and I’ll follow you too! :D

A quick message to you

Whatever is beautiful. Whatever is meaningful. Whatever brings you happiness. May it be yours this holiday season and throughout the coming year!!

Glittering Lights

December 19th, 2010

Scott and I went with my parents to The Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert on Friday. David Archuleta was the guest singer and I have never seen so many little girls! Haha. A few of them squealed when he came out on stage and I heard one usher having a grand time talking to all the girls about David Enchilada and they’d indignantly tell him, “It’s Archuleta!!” :D It was a beautiful concert though. After it was over we walked over to Temple Square with the rest of the crowd and looked at all the sparkling Christmas lights. It was magical. This time of year is so hectic and sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out but I love the moments when everything clears away for just a few moments, whether it’s while holding hands with the one you love surrounded by glittering lights or when all your children are tucked in bed and you peek in on them and see their sleeping angel faces, and you can just revel in the peacefulness. It’s almost over and I’m making a more valiant effort to seek out those moments and enjoy them before they’re gone until next year.
