Oh poor blog. You’ve been neglected! But spring weather is slowly peeking out and that means I won’t have to keep rescheduling my sessions! Like this beauty, who we had to reschedule at least twice because of the weather and ALMOST again the day of but we braved it out and it was worth it! We had lovely overcast weather and got some killer shots of Brooke!

I’m so glad that we were finally able to meet up for pictures! I had such a fun time with you, even though your eye was hurting you had such a great attitude!! I’m way excited to hear about your schooling and I know that you’re going to do amazing things!!

She has a quietness that I found so unique. She observed everything I did and was able to mimic my poses exactly but added in the little something extra that I didn’t know was missing from the pose until I saw her do it. I loved her piercing eyes and how they connected with the camera in a way that I didn’t need to enhance her eye color in the slightest. I loved seeing the relationship she had with her brother and mom who came along. She’d laugh at her brother and we’d get winning smiles and then she’d speak the gorgeous language of Portuguese to her mother and it’d pull this beautiful and soft looks from her. She was my last sunny session and I think it was fitting.

This is my awesome camera assistant! He’s been able to help me with TWO sessions and LOVE him! It was so much fun showing him what each lens does and having him ask me what this and that was. He was a pro at making both of his sisters laugh and then quick as that he’d pull killer serious faces from them. And on top of all that he’s in Crimson Colony and I was in Crimson Colony!!

You have such a good eye, I hope you continue with photography! You were so easy to direct into poses and I’m so grateful for the amount of trust you put in me!! If Scott’s ever unable to come with my to my sessions I’m totally gonna call you to be my assistant!

This is Alex or Squigs, Malex, Squiglet, Mally, Squigon-gin, Mally Mally Moo Moo, Scouch; he goes by many names but my favorite one is…my “little” brother! I say little with a bit of humor because he towers over me at 6’3. Alex is my cute youngest brother and I may be biased but I think he’s pretty wonderful! He’s the most sensitive and helpful of all my brothers. He’s always been so smart…correcting everyone even from a really young age. He’s got a wicked sense of humor and I think he’s CUTE! And ladies…he’s currently single so hurry and snap him up! Love ya!

She loves to laugh. Her brother and I kept trying to get her to do serious faces and she’d bust out laughing and in turn we’d start laughing! Her smile would light up any room but man, oh, man! When she did those serious faces! BAM, she belonged in INSTYLE magazine with those gorgeous eyes and her skin…we all know the love affair I have with creamy skin tones! I barely even touched her skin, jealous! Haha

I had such a fun session with you! I had the hardest time narrowing down your images that I wanted to edit and picking which ones to give you a sneak peek was almost impossible! You were a doll to hang out with and I’m excited I get to see you and your family next week when it’s your brother’s turn in front of the camera! Then you can turn the tables on him and insist on certain faces for him!

I always know I’ve had a great session when I have the hardest time narrowing it down to my four favorite pictures to post up on the blog for the sneak peek! I’ve been going back and forth on 7 and so you get 5!

I asked her to meet me in a cemetery. No, no not so that we could take pictures in there but so she could follow me up to our location. I should’ve specified where we were meeting because I ended up making her wait almost 10 minutes because she was in the cemetery and I was outside! But when I had the brilliant idea of calling her we got it worked out and she was a doll about the whole thing. She met me with a bright smile on her face and I loved her from there!

Caitlin reminds me so much of Carrie Underwood, she has that sweet personality, the same stunning smile and that hair? Yeah, I can admit I’m jealous of it. But once she got into her prom dress…total Vogue! I had a ton of fun with her and her mom and sister, through all the burrs that got all over us to me almost falling in the river. They are a great bunch!

Caitlin, good luck with school! I can absolutely see you being an amazing Special Needs Teacher!! You’re a beauty and so great to work with. I had an absolutely wonderful time with you!

I SO behind on posting on here but I have a new resolve that I’ll be caught up totally with all my blog post, edits and CDs sent out within the next 2 weeks! Ah, the joys of cramming in all my clients that had booked me before my knee surgery! And as Cache Valley people know…we’re on a deadline because ya never know when the snow will hit us! Even though she’s a more recent session I’m in the middle of editing her session and had to post these!

Kirsten is one the cutest seniors ever! The fact that she’s a LHS Grizzly just sweetens the deal (I gotta show some love for my former high school! haha) She was up for everything I mentioned and let’s just say I was very relieved that she doesn’t have a fear of balloons. Not only is she stunning but she’s a sweet girl too.

When I booked her I asked my brother, who is in the same grade at their school together, about her and he said that everyone at school likes her because she’s nice to everyone. I just love that about her and I think it makes her an even more beautiful young lady! Plus she’s a changing pro, how many girls do you know that can pull off changing into TWO formal dresses in their car?

Kirsten, I just know that you’re going to have great things happen for you! Good luck with Cosmetology School, with your cute personality you’re going to have a huge clientele. You are an absolute doll and I’m already looking forward to our next shoot together!

Katie’s mom called me and asked if I could take Katie’s pictures with her harp before she got her new one. I was so excited from the minute when I heard that she was a harpist because that was something I wanted so badly at my wedding but we couldn’t find one. Boo!
This cute, CUTE, girl has been playing the harp for 4 years and she’s only 13! Give the girl some props! I was lucky enough to have Katie play for us while taking her pictures and it was wonderful! I think I’m going to start hiring her to come with me to all my sessions so I can shoot accompanied by that heavenly sound!
No, really I was so impressed by Katie’s talents and her sweet, easy to get along with, personality. And if anyone is like me and wants a harpist at their wedding…she’s available! Ok, I may be biased but I think this boy is one of the cutest alive! This is my brother. He needed some pictures that were a bit cooler than the ones that the school gives with that blue background. So we grabbed his lacrosse equipment and jersey and headed to my new favorite location. He’s cute huh! Ladies…he’s single!

Tyler, oh Tyler. What a spunky 13 year old! It was absolutely freezing where we took her pictures. The wind was blowing so hard that my fingers were bright red from the cold. But she was a trooper. She kept that smile on her face and every so often we had to jump in the car and crank that heat. Another thing I loved about her as that she brought this really cool cowboy hat to use as a prop. It fit so perfectly for her because she loves horses. When I was editing her pictures the only thing I kept thinking was…She looks just like one of those Junior Rodeo Royalty!
