Katie

Katie’s mom called me and asked if I could take Katie’s pictures with her harp before she got her new one. I was so excited from the minute when I heard that she was a harpist because that was something I wanted so badly at my wedding but we couldn’t find one. Boo!
This cute, CUTE, girl has been playing the harp for 4 years and she’s only 13! Give the girl some props! I was lucky enough to have Katie play for us while taking her pictures and it was wonderful! I think I’m going to start hiring her to come with me to all my sessions so I can shoot accompanied by that heavenly sound! :D
No, really I was so impressed by Katie’s talents and her sweet, easy to get along with, personality. And if anyone is like me and wants a harpist at their wedding…she’s available! If you’re looking for one give me a call or leave a comment and I’ll get you her phone number. You won’t be sorry, she plays absolutely beautifully! And let’s be honest…she looks beautiful too!

I feel for ya!

A few months ago I won a mentorship with Brooke Snow and it changed everything I thought about photography business. Along with the mentorship I got a session with her as well. I was so stoked for everything BUT the session. Even though I knew she did amazing work and I trusted her I still had the panic…I wanted to wait until I lose weight, until my hair is a bit longer, until I could buy a brand new wardrobe. But I couldn’t and I fretted over it. So I went there and trusted her direction and her angles and by george! I loved them! Being in front of the camera gave me new appreciation for what I ask of my clients. It’s hard! haha You feel uncomfortable and nervous but it did give me a new outlook, I’m going to be so much more understanding that sometimes you’re going to need time to warm up to this big hunk of camera shoved in your face! :D And sometimes I need to give better direction. But I’m mostly going to love you guys even more because you’re putting your trust in me!

So in all fairness I’m posting my favorites from the session. Ok, ok…and because I love them! :D

So I got to work with this STUNNING girl and she was absolutely perfect! Not only is she gorgeous but she did everything that was suggested to her, including crawl up on the hood of an old truck and pose in a not very comfortable position! Oh and did I mention that the top of the hood was scalding hot? If that wasn’t enough to make me love her, her fun personality did!
